Completely locks up system requiring hard reboot.

This issue has been tracked since 2022-08-04.

Randomly, and with increasing frequency, spawns a large, non-responsive window instead of the drop down. Neither clicking corner "X", hitting ESC, Ctrl C, nor any other action removes it, except that repeatedly clicking "X" scores of times will sometimes make it disappear, but it returns when any action of any kind, or no action, is taken. It eventually, always, freezes system requiring hard boot. Running latest Firefox, on latest Linux Mint, on Dell Latitude laptop.

  1. When this happens can you see anything apparently NoScript-related in the browser console (ctrl+J)?
  2. Does it happens if you disable all the other extensions? If it doesn't, a list of your extensions could help identify a potential conflict
  3. If 2 doesnt' apply, does it happen in a clean profile with just NoScript (default settings) is installed? If it doesn't, please use NoScript Options>Export in your usual profile and share (privately, if you prefer) the output file.
